English Premier LeagueManchester United Vs Everton
EXPERT TIP
Manchester United might have drop points in midweek but they are still six points clear of Arsenal and Chelsea with five games remaining. The only reason why United have not clinched the title yet is mainly due to their sloppy away record BUT their home form have been superb, winning 15 out of the 16 home games, and 12 on the bounce. Everton who are not playing the best of football recently in my opinion, have somehow got the results they needed for the past few weeks. Everton have won five of their last six league games, drawing the other. This must be a surprise to many as Everton are without several key players and they are without any top class striker. Yes Jermaine Beckford might have scored against United and knock them out of the FA cup last season but I have serious doubts over his ability especially against a stern United defense at home where they have only conceded nine goals all season. Manchester United will be without Paul Scholes who is suspended while Berbatov, Ferdinand and Fletcher are doubtful for this game. As for Everton, Baxter, Fellaini and Saha are all out injured while Cahill, Arteta and Heitinga are all doubtful. Cahill and Arteta are near to a return but this game might just be too soon for them. Verdict: I cant see Everton causing any harm to this United defense simply because they lack an out an out striker and the physical presence of Cahill and Fallaini will be missed. With United focusing their attack down the flanks at home, I am expecting the likes of Valencia and Nani to cause problem for Everton. Nani had a poor game in midweek and might be dropped to the bench but It is likely that Giggs will start on the bench as he is likely to feature in midweek. Phil Neville might be given the task to man-mark Wayne Rooney BUT the question is, is Neville good enough to do so? Neville is not a natural central midfield and with Neville already in his later stages of his career, his pace might be a major factor. This is not the first time United have won 12 successive Premier League home games in a row in recent seasons but they have never made it to 13. I am expecting them to break this voodoo today and make it 13. United the team to be with.
Tip: Manchester United @ -1 odds 1.975
